Download Adobe Acrobat Reader The CD contains : The Transcription of the bound volume of nearly 500 pages of tissue-like paper contain the "press copies" of hand written letters and correspondence that were produced in the Granite, Colorado, office of the Twin Lakes Hydraulic Gold Mining Syndicate, Ltd. Their Gold Mine is on Cache Creek near Granite, Colorado. They begin with the date of January 6, 1889, and were written in ink by Ben Stanley Revett, who is well known for introducing dredging as a mining technique in Breckenridge, Colorado, and by his assistant, W. B. Burtis.The letters supply the details of the Mine's interactions with merchants, especially as Ben Stanley Revett works on his goal to receive permission for a hydraulic plant with iron pipe, giants, and an elevator for the next season. As the letters end, he is planning to travel to California to learn more about hydraulicking.
